A little bit about me

With over 25 years of experience in both business strategy and education, I’ve spent my career helping others create systems that work—whether in the corporate world or in the classroom.

I started as a Strategic Implementation Officer, developing strategies that drove success in business. Later, I transitioned into the education sector, where I became a school teacher and principal. I’ve worked directly with families for over two decades, helping them navigate the challenges of both education and family life.

After several years helping expand my husband’s businesses, I felt a strong calling in 2023 to return to my passion for family work. That’s when I founded the Unbreakable Family Academy, where I now teach parents the tools, systems, and strategies that I’ve used to build strong, connected families.

With my background as both an educator and a strategist, I’m here to share what I’ve learned to help your family thrive.

A HISTORICAL TIMELINE... (JUST KIDDING)

Just a brief overview of where I came from and how I got to where I am at.

Born and raised in Southern California. I love my roots as a 70's child. I love my parents very much, but as the saying goes they were oil and water.  After divorcing when I was two years old they tried one more time and had my brother.  That was the final call for them.  Going through these divorces made one thing very clear to me - I am going to find the right person and marry him forever.

I was introduced to my husband in 1990 by a close friend.  Let's just say this was a less than desirable moment when I reached out to shake his hand and he replied with a "Yo, what's up!" Well, after getting to know each other and becoming best friends, he asked me to be his girlfriend which I replied, "Is that all?" We tied the knot in 1992 and have never looked back.

Five years later we welcome our first child. I literally said, "This is simple, let's have another!" Well, I had no idea how hard parenting would become.  Exhaustion was an understatement. But, I had never felt this feeling of love through the core of my body and I wanted to make sure they had their best life ever without it becoming my worst. I never wanted to admit that it was starting to press on my marriage, but it was.

I decided to apply for an administrative job at my kids school. Simple right, I think not!

I was hired, and a teacher just didn't show up at the beginning of the year. This is how I went from a corporate strategy implementation officer to a school teacher.

Working with other families parenting problems were the topic of the day, but one for one I saw there was a misalignment with the parents almost every time.

I had my "aha moment" when I realized families are micro-organizations.
